ABOUT

2024 marks the 40th anniversary of Jake Dollery’s musical journey, which began when he first took to the stage fronting a band put together for a college christmas show. In 1987 he was the lead singer and guitarist with the band The Dead Legionnaires.

​

Over the decades, Jake has donned many hats, leading various outfits like Jake & The Space Cakes and the rock/pop powerhouse The Fisherkings. After a hiatus from live performances in the mid-90s to focus on songwriting and production, Jake triumphantly returned to the stage in 2009, captivating audiences with his soul-baring solo acoustic sets.

His songs seamlessly blend genres like rock, punk, indie, and pop, delivering raw, honest lyrics with undeniable passion.Jake’s latest album, “Paroxysm,” a burst of emotion and energy, is available across major platforms and Bandcamp. Collaborating with a diverse array of talents like Mark Summers, Charlie Waygood, and Neil Fouracre, his music has garnered international acclaim and airplay.

Beyond his recording endeavors, Jake hosts a two hour weekly radio shows on Radio Wigwam: “The Jake Dollery Radio Show” He was also an active force in promoting music events in his hometown of Reading. With 8 albums (including an electronic chill-out album) and a compilation under his belt, Jake is an award-nominated artist, recognized for his artistry at the Radio Wigwam and ISSA awards.

Jake has been enjoying international recognition with radio airplay around the world including the UK, US, Australia and Europe.
